Have been talking about Tak Po [德宝] for a while, so decided to drop by for dinner today.

Is a simply looking fuss-free kind of kopitiam style, located at Smith Street which offers all sorts of Hong Kong Dim Sum and Congee.

Normal kopitiam tables and chairs but it’s aircon!

  • Char Siew Bun
  • Har Mai
  • Mushroom Chicken

  • Seafood Spring Roll
  • Pan Fried Carrot Cake
  • Prawn & Banana in Dragon Beard
  • Deep Fried Prawn Dumpling
  • Baked Egg Tart
  • Baked Char Siew Pie

Tried that “Prawn & Banana in Dragon Beard” for the first time, not very fantastic and totally no taste of banana at all.

The rest of the dim sum are pretty decent, delicious and fragrant, only the “Fragrant Rice with Chicken” I don’t really like cos not warm at all and kind of tasteless.

The service was kopitiam-type, some of the young ladies weren’t too friendly.
Overall not a bad place if you are not picky and want fuss-free, no-frills dim sum.
Most important no service charge.

Do give it a try if you like “Dim Sum” too~! (^^.)
