Got a bottle of “Absolut Vodka” in “Leather Jacket” from a oversea friend today.

When I unzipped the leather jacket then realized the flavor of vodka is actually KURANT!

So happy!!! (^^.)

I’ve been looking around for this flavor for so long cos it has discontinued in the market.

Holding the bottle and looks closely then I finally realized I do have one same as well which also in leather jacket but all the while I thought is normal Absolut Vodka, blue label instead cos I didn’t want to spoil the beautiful paper label around the leather jacket cover so I assume is normal Absolut Vodka, blue label.

Who know! What a “Sotong” I am! So blur!!!

Yet I am still looking around for this “Kurant” flavor vodka when I already have it for so long. Hahaha…The main ingredients in “ABSOLUT KURANT” are ABSOLUT VODKA and black currant flavor. ABSOLUT KURANT is easily enjoyed in its pure and fruity natural form but it’s also the perfect base in numerous drinks.

The story behind the name “ABSOLUT KURANT” is black currant, a typical Swedish berry from which the flavor is taken. When launched in 1992 it was a tribute to the Swedish origin of ABSOLUT. Originally it was even supposed to be called ABSOLUT VINBÄR since the Swedish word for black currant is vinbär. Only thing was that the English pronunciation would have been wine bar and it’s launched in 1992.
